Redmi K Pad with 8.8″ 3K Display, Dimensity 9400+, and Sleek Metal Design Launched

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K Pad, a compact yet powerful Android tablet, at an event in China. With a high-end display, a flagship processor, and a slim metal body, the K Pad is designed for gaming, entertainment, and productivity on the go.

The Redmi K Pad features an 8.8-inch 3K LCD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, making it one of the fastest screens on any Android tablet. It offers 700 nits brightness, HDR10, Dolby Vision, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The aspect ratio is 16:10, and the screen supports super-fast touch response with up to 1080Hz instant sampling, which will be useful for gaming. It runs on Android 15 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 skin on top, offering the latest software experience.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, built on the 3nm process. It comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The tablet uses a 12050mm² liquid-cooled vapor chamber, which helps manage heat during intense tasks or gaming sessions.

This is also the first Android tablet to support full-frame gaming at 3K resolution, thanks to the chip-focused design and cooling system.

The Redmi K Pad includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for video calls and content capture.

Xiaomi has equipped the K Pad with a custom “four-voice coil symmetrical dual speaker” setup. The sound system is backed by Dolby Atmos, promising an immersive audio experience. There are also dual X-axis linear motors, giving precise haptic feedback, a rare feature in tablets.

The tablet features Xiaomi’s first three-antenna design, which improves connectivity and reduces lag during gaming. It also supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and comes with dual USB-C ports, a first for Xiaomi tablets. The second USB-C port allows for bypass charging. It means the power can go directly to the device while preserving battery health during long usage sessions.

The 7500mAh battery supports 67W fast charging.
