Motorola is getting ready to launch a new smartphone in India, and all signs point to the moto g96 5G. The company has shared a teaser with the caption “All eyes on you”, showing off the phone in four colours. The teaser also confirms dual rear cameras, a water-resistant body, and a Snapdragon chipset.

Moto G96 5G teased in India

As per the leaks, the moto g96 5G is expected to come with a 6.67-inch curved pOLED display with 10-bit colour, a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and Full HD+ resolution. The phone will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, not the latest Gen 3 version.

In terms of cameras, it is said to include a 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-700C main sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera that also works for macro shots. On the front, we might get a 32MP selfie camera.

The phone is also expected to feature stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and a 5,500mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging. It should also come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.

Interestingly, these are the exact same specifications as the Moto Edge 50 Fusion, which launched last year. The design shown in the teaser also matches the Edge 50 Fusion. This clearly suggests that Motorola could be relaunching the same phone under a new name as part of its G-series lineup.
