PCB Announces 27-Day Skills and Fitness Camp for National Women’s Team in Karachi

The PCB has confirmed that a total of 24 talented female cricketers will join this 27-day training camp, designed to enhance their skills and boost physical fitness as they gear up for upcoming international competitions.

Following the skills camp, a brief preparatory session will take place from July 28 to August 2, specifically for the 15 players selected for the Ireland tour. This focused preparation will be crucial before the team embarks on their journey.

The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team is scheduled to fly to Ireland on August 3, where they will compete in a thrilling three-match T20I series against the Ireland Women’s Team.

The series kicks off on August 7, with the subsequent matches slated for August 10 and 11, all taking place at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Ireland.

After the Ireland tour, the team will gear up for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, which will occur next month in September, co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan will launch their World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on October 2, followed by a much-anticipated clash with archrivals India on October 5. Their final group-stage match is set against Sri Lanka on October 24.

It’s noteworthy that the national women’s cricket team will play all their World Cup matches in Colombo, adhering to the ‘fusion formula’ established ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. This agreement aims to prevent rival teams from hosting each other in ICC events for the next three years, ensuring they compete at neutral venues instead.

Consequently, the first semi-final of this eight-team tournament is scheduled for October 29, either in Guwahati or Colombo. The final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 is set for November 2 in Bengaluru; however, if Pakistan qualifies, the final will be held in Colombo.
