IO Interactive has officially launched Hitman: World of Assassination on iPhone and iPad, bringing the entire assassination trilogy right to your fingertips. Released on August 27, this mobile game consolidates Hitman 1, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 into one thrilling package.
Players can explore all the iconic locations and missions from the trilogy, including the glamorous Paris fashion show and the stunning skyscrapers of Dubai. The mobile version is designed for your convenience, supporting both intuitive touch controls and external game controllers, allowing you to immerse yourself in the game your way.
While the much-anticipated Freelancer mode, which introduces exciting roguelike elements, is not part of the initial launch, players can look forward to this addition later this year through an update.
As for pricing, the full game is available for £69.99. However, if you prefer to dive in gradually, you can unlock individual locations for just £2.99 each. New players can also enjoy a taste of the action with the free ICA Facility training mission and the Sebastian Principle Escalation set in Dubai.
It’s important to note that device support is limited to Apple’s latest and most powerful models. Here’s what you need:
- iPhone 16 series
- iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPad Pro and iPad Air (M1 or newer)
- iPad mini (A17 Pro)
As a long-time fan of the Hitman franchise, I believe this marks a significant advancement in mobile gaming. IO Interactive has successfully transitioned a console-quality stealth experience to smartphones, a feat that seemed impossible just a few years ago.
The big question remains: how will players master the art of sneaking, disguising, and executing their targets using touch controls on a smaller screen?
