With the launch just around the corner, OnePlus has revealed the camera specifications of its upcoming OnePlus Nord 5. The company promises major upgrades in performance and photography compared to last year’s Nord 4.

The Nord 5 will feature a dual 50 megapixel Ultra-Clear camera system. The rear setup includes the 50 megapixel LYT-700 sensor, the same one used in the OnePlus 13R and 13s, bringing flagship-level photography to the Nord series. It also uses the OnePlus 13’s HDR algorithm to improve color, contrast, and details, especially in low-light conditions. There’s also an 8 megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 116° field of view.

On the front, the phone houses a 50 megapixel JN5 sensor, which is normally found in premium flagship phones. This selfie camera also supports hardware autofocus, which helps deliver sharp and clear selfies in all lighting situations.

One of the key highlights is the new LivePhoto feature with Ultra HDR support. It captures a 3-second motion shot, 1.5 seconds before and after the shutter press, while the main photo is rendered in Ultra HDR quality. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording at 60fps, which is rare in this segment.

OnePlus had earlier confirmed that the Nord 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. It will come with LPDDR5X RAM and a large 7300 mm² VC cooling system. It also includes graphene thermal materials similar to the flagship OnePlus 13, offering a thermal efficiency of 1,800W/m·K.

For gamers, the phone supports BGMI at native 90fps, and frame interpolation can push that up to 144fps. It also runs Call of Duty Mobile at 144fps natively.

The OnePlus Nord 5 will launch on July 8 and will be available via Amazon.in, OnePlus India online store, and offline retail outlets. More details, including pricing and variant info, are expected to be revealed in the coming days.
