OnePlus has confirmed key details about its upcoming smartphone, OnePlus Nord CE5, ahead of the official launch on July 8. The phone will launch alongside the OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus Buds 4.
The most notable thing about the Nord CE5 is its powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Apex chipset. OnePlus claims that the phone scores over 1.47 million points on AnTuTu, making it the most powerful phone in its segment. It will also come with LPDDR5X RAM, offering better speed and efficiency. The company says the phone can deliver a smooth 120fps gaming experience in popular games like BGMI and Call of Duty Mobile.
The camera department also gets a boost. The Nord CE5 will use the same 50MP Sony LYT-600 main sensor from the Nord CE4, with OIS support. However, it now features RAW HDR and Real Tone exposure technology borrowed from the flagship OnePlus 13 series. This helps deliver better clarity, vibrant colors, and more natural skin tones. The phone can also record 4K videos at 60fps with HDR.
Another major upgrade is the 7,100 mAh battery, which is much bigger than the 5,500 mAh battery found in the previous model. The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, and can go from 1% to 100% in just 59 minutes. A quick 10-minute charge is enough to offer up to 6 hours of YouTube playback.
To improve battery life in the long run, OnePlus has introduced a new system called Battery Health Magic. It manages charging behavior to keep the battery stable and extend its lifespan. The phone also supports Bypass Charging, which allows it to draw power directly from the charger while gaming. This reduces heat, protects the battery, and improves durability.
The OnePlus Nord CE5, Nord 5, and Buds 4 will go on sale starting July 9 and July 12. They will be available via Amazon.in, the OnePlus India online store, and offline retail outlets.
