Indian Railways has launched a new mobile app called RailOne. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the app during the 40th Foundation Day of CRIS (Centre for Railway Information Systems) today.
RailOne is designed to make train travel easier and more convenient. It brings 10 key services together in one app. You can now book all types of tickets, check train details, plan your journey, and even order food. All from a single app.
RailOne is available on both Android and iPhone. You can download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
One of the best features of RailOne is single sign-on. You do not need to remember multiple passwords. Just one login gives you access to everything. If you already use RailConnect or UTSonMobile, you do not need to sign up again. Just log in to RailOne using your old username and password.
During the launch, the minister said the old UTSonMobile app did not work well for many users. RailOne is meant to fix those issues and offer a better experience. He also praised Indian Railways and said it is one of the few government sectors, along with Defence, that can handle any challenge.
Here are the 10 features of the RailOne app:
- Plan journeys
- Book reserved, unreserved, and platform tickets
- Check Train Status in Real-Time
