Redmi K80 Ultra with 144Hz OLED Display, Dimensity 9400, and 7410mAh Battery Launched

Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi K80 Ultra, the top-end model in the Redmi K80 series. The phone packs serious hardware and targets users who want a flagship-level experience without breaking the bank. It is now on sale in China.

One of the biggest highlights of the Redmi K80 Ultra is its massive 7410mAh battery. Xiaomi has used silicon-carbon battery tech that gives 827Wh/L energy density. Despite the large battery, the phone supports 100W fast charging.

The Redmi K80 Ultra comes with a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling. It peaks at 3200 nits brightness and supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and DC dimming. Xiaomi also includes Shield Glass protection for added durability.

There is also a Discrete D2 Graphics chip, which is designed to boost gaming performance by enabling 144FPS gaming and improving display smoothness. It runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.

The device runs on MediaTek Dimensity 9400+, a 3nm chip built for performance. Xiaomi claims an impressive AnTuTu score of 3.24 million, putting it among the top performers. It comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, making it ideal for multitasking and gaming.

For cooling, it features a 3D Ice Cycle Cold Pump and a 6500mm² 3D concave-convex vapor chamber, which helps keep temperatures down during heavy use.

The phone features a 50MP main camera with a 1/1.55″ sensor and OIS, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, there is a 20MP selfie camera that can shoot up to 1080p at 60fps. While it may not be a camera-first device, the setup looks capable for most regular use cases.

Xiaomi has also paid attention to audio. The K80 Ultra comes with coaxial symmetrical dual speakers and supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. It also includes an 0916C motor with a closed-loop driver IC, which should provide stronger and more precise vibration feedback. The Redmi K80 Ultra supports 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. For navigation, it includes support for NavIC, GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, and BeiDou.

The phone uses a metal middle frame, a fiberglass back, and a metal camera module design. It has an IP68 rating, which means it is resistant to both dust and water.
